This is a partial list of books written by Marvin Martin, including memoirs, journals, family histories, travel books, reviews, correspondence, opinion articles, photography collections, children's novels, short stories, poetry, adaptations he has made for the stage, books written in conjunction with students, etc. As of 2015, he has completed over 150 books. These books are self-published.

When he was a teacher, he wrote a number of journal articles in education journals, pamphlets (THE GREAT VITAMIN MYSTERY and A RIVER OF MILK) for the National Dairy Council, magazine articles, portions of science textbooks, etc. He also took all of the photographs for a book on science education in the elementary school. Nine of them are collections of his reviews. None of them have been published, though copies of some can be found in homes, libraries, and archives around the country.
